Living in the Gray
Living in the Gray is a collection of poetry born from the spaces between despair and surrender. It’s an offering and a beacon for those finding their way through the depths of heartbreak and loss, and a companion for moments when the heaviness of grief and uncertainty gives way to hope and possibility. It is an affirmation that even in the dark moments when the path feels unclear, we can rediscover ourselves, piece by piece.
Life exists within a wide spectrum. The phrase “living in the gray” is about embracing ambiguity and uncertainty and being open to possibilities. We live most of our lives in the gray, the liminal spaces from one moment to the next, with every thought we think and every action we take shaping our reality. Sometimes the gray areas are easy to navigate, sometimes they’re murky and overwhelming.
It is with deep gratitude, excitement, and vulnerability that I launch my poetry chapbook, Living in the Gray, into the world. These poems were written during a season of deep transition in my life. They speak to the spaces between heartbreak and healing, letting go and becoming. They’re an offering for anyone navigating loss, belonging, and change.
This release includes:
– A PDF version of the chapbook, which includes 11 poems as well as reflection prompts and space for journaling
– An audio edition, recorded with additional commentary, for those who prefer to listen and hear a little more of the story behind the words
Living in the Gray is my debut poetry collection
I chose to release Living in the Gray on Bandcamp intentionally. Bandcamp is one of the few platforms that prioritizes artists, allowing creators to retain ownership of their work, receive a fairer share of revenue, and connect directly with the people who choose to support it. Unlike larger platforms, it doesn’t reduce art to algorithms or fractions of a cent per listen. By purchasing this work here, you’re supporting independent creation in a way that’s ethical, transparent, and aligned with the values that shaped these poems. Whether you read or listen, this work is meant to be a companion to return to in moments when you find yourself living in the in-between.
Thank you for being part of my world, for holding space for my vulnerability, for your support of independent art and my writing, and for witnessing this work as it comes into being. If these poems speak to you, I’d love for you to share how they land for you. Let’s keep the conversation going on our Discord channel, a safe space to connect without all the drama and algorithms of traditional social media. My hope is that we can offer one another a sense of grounding and steadiness as we navigate the dark, the light, and the gray spaces of life together. May we continue to seek presence with what life is offering in each moment, where nothing is fully known and anything is possible.
I am deeply grateful for your support.
